SE: ”I utställningen Tröstan och Tillflykter gestaltar jag min närmiljö i västra Jämtland: skogen, fjällen och djuren jag möter i vardagen. Det är platser som rymmer tröst och närvaro.
I en tid präglad av högt tempo blir det stickade hantverket en långsam och omsorgsfull handling. Jag omvandlar fotografiernas pixlar till maskor, där motiven rör sig mellan det konkreta och det förnimbara. Texturen för tankarna till kroppen, medan den blå färgen blir ett landskap på avstånd, en himmel och en känsla av frihet.” -Tilda Johansson
Utställningen rör sig mellan det vardagliga och det vidskepliga, mellan trygghet och vaksamhet, det nära och det svårgripbara.
EN: ”In the exhibition Solace and Sanctuaries, I depict my immediate surroundings in western Jämtland: the forest, the mountains, and the animals I encounter in daily life. These are places that hold solace and presence.
In a fast-paced world, the craft of knitting becomes a slow and mindful act. I transform the pixels of photographs into stitches, where the motifs move between the concrete and the perceptible. The texture brings to mind the body, while the color blue becomes a landscape at a distance, a sky, and a feeling of freedom.” – Tilda Johansson
The exhibition moves between the everyday and the superstitious, between safety and vigilance, the intimate and the elusive.
